Ethereal Watercolor

ethereal [ih-theer-ee-uh l] adjective 1.light, airy, or tenuous: an ethereal world created through the poetic imagination.

 

This class is open to beginning to intermediate levels.

Explore the vibrancy and transparency of watercolor. Kathryn will emphasize color, design, and contrast. You will learn to layer and control the pigment and rescue the white paper while retaining the spontaneous, fresh-looking result.

You will acquire a strong foundation in watercolor painting while expanding your creativity through exploration of this medium. Kathryn will demonstrate a variety of techniques including brushwork, flat and graded washes, glazing and blending techniques, and color mixing. A series of painting exercises will allow you to experiment as you gain skills for working in this luminous and spontaneous medium.

  Explore the unlimited potential of Precious Metal Clay during these exciting and in depth classes with Kathryn Marks, a silver and ceramic artist.  You will create your own unique silver jewelry or art piece or replicate Kathryn’s in a step by step process. You will receive hands on training in basic techniques to more intricate designs depending on your skill level from a beginner to intermediate.
